Day
1:
Starting from Muscat in the morning you will travel through the
mountainous and desert landscape
arriving at the dramatic Bama
Sinkhole. There will be time to
visit the Sinkhole. Next, you will
continue travelling through the
villages of Dibab and
Finns and arrive at Wadi Shab,
wadi meaning "gorge between
cliffs". Your guide will take you
for a visually breathtaking, easy
walk through the wadi. Your walk
will take you past the green grass,
banana and mango trees. The narrow
winding, old rock paths will bring
you to a series of streams and
pools. You will have the
opportunity to swim through a pond
of crystal clear water and swim
through a narrow keyhole, surfacing
inside a magnificent cave, which
contains an inspiring waterfall.
After you are refreshed you will
travel to the white sands of
Tiwi Beach
where we will set our camp for the
night. It is a magnificent site to
have a camp fire and a BBQ dinner.
Day 2:
After breakfast we will drive along the coast arriving at
the ancient seafaring township
of
Sur.
Sur is where the traditional wooden
Omani Dhows are made. It also
features many fine old homes with
carved doors and arabesque windows.
It offers great photo opportunities
and we will stop in Sur for lunch
before continuing our journey to
Ras Al Hadd and to
Turtle Beach
where we will spend the night at the
permanent camp and enjoy the
hospitality of the Omani people.
Ras Al Jinz is one of the
few nesting places of the giant
green sea turtle and at night you
will have the chance to see these
majestic creatures come ashore and
lay their eggs by the light of the
stars.
Day 3:
Next morning after breakfast we continue our adventure,
this time heading the brilliant
Wahiba Sands Desert. The Wahiba's are
desert in the romantic sense of the
word. Rolling sand dunes, varying
from deep red to a rich honey color,
stretching as far as the eye can
see. This is the traditional home of
the nomadic Bedouin.
At Wahiba you will experience
4WDriving on the sand dunes as well
as a visit to a Bedouin community.
Experiencing the sunset at the top
of the Wahiba dunes is inspiring and
at night you will enjoy the
hospitality of a desert camp.
We will spend the night in the
permanent camp where we will enjoy
dinner and conversation around the
camp fire.
Day 4:
After breakfast we continue our tour to the
township of
Nizwa,
the ancient capital of Oman. We
travel through Nizwa to the village
of
Bahla
with its rich tradition of pottery,
weaving and magic. We will continue
to
Jebrin
Castle
which was constructed in 1670.
Jebrin Castle was once a centre of
learning for the study of Islamic
Law, History, Arabic, Medicine and
Astrology. Then travel through
Al Hamra to the village of
Misfah,
which is an ancient village perched
on the mountainside. We will walk
down winding paths into the heart of
the village with fantastic views of
the wadi below and the terraced
gardens of lime, banana and date
trees. After this we return to
Nizwa and stay overnight in a hotel.
Day 5:

traditional Souq where there
will be an opportunity to purchase
and see many traditional Omani
things. After this you will take a

built in 1660. Next, we will walk

one of the oldest Mosques in Oman.
Then, we will enjoy a delicious
