6D-1 Ultimate Oman Experience
Tour Time: 6 days and 5 nights

Oman Experience.JPGDay 1:  Start your adventure tour of Oman.  Leaving Muscat in the morning we will visit Nakhl - Wadi Bani Awf (walk and swimming in the wadi) - travel across the mountains to the fascinating village of Bilad Sayt.  Then we will travel on to AL Hamra and then continue up the mountains to the peak of Jebel Shams, the Mountain of the Sun.  Here we will stay overnight at the cabins or traditional Omani tents and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere of being at the very top of Oman.

 

Day 2:  After breakfast we will have time to enjoy the fantastic views of the canyon which considered some of the best in Oman.  This canyon is known as the Oman Grand Canyon.  From there we will continue the tour and travel to Wadi Ghul, visiting Misfah village an incredible mountainside village. Spending the night at a hotel in Nizwa.

 

Day 3:  After breakfast we will visit the traditional Nizwa Souq where there will be an opportunity to purchase and see many traditional Omani things.  After this you will take a tour of the famous Round Fort, one of the finest forts in Oman.  Next we will travel to the golden Wahiba Sands desert arriving in the afternoon in time to watch the sunset across the dunes.  We will stay overnight at the traditional permanent camp. 

 

Day 4:  The following day we will cross the Wahiba Sands.  There will be many opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of this landscape.  Once we arrive on the coast we will continue along the coast to an amazing natural desert forest of Gaph Trees where we will set our own camp.

 

Day 5:  After breakfast we will visit a Bedouin family for you to experience the very traditional lifestyle and then travel on to Ras Al Hadd and to Turtle Beach where we will spend the night at the permanent camp and enjoy the hospitality of the Omani people.  Ras Al Jinz is one of the few nesting places of the giant green sea turtle and at night you will have the chance to see these majestic creatures come ashore and lay their eggs by the light of the stars.

 

Day 6:  After breakfast we head off again on to the seafaring town of Sur for a visit, after lunch we will drive on to Qalhat and the famous village of Tiwi.  At Tiwi we will visit Wadi Shab which is considered one of the most beautiful wadis in Oman.  You will have ample time to hike through this wadi and enjoy exploring and swimming.  Again the scenery is spectacular and certainly an experience you will remember forever.  After walking and swimming in the Wadi we will drive to the spectacular Bama Sink Hole.  This Sink Hole is the best in Oman.  The water is crystal clear and the setting outstanding.  After enjoying some time there where you will have the chance to swim we will travel to the township of Quriyat and then through the mountains back to Muscat where we will drop you at your hotel or transfer you to the airport.

6D-2 Deserts Of Oman
Tour Time: 6 days and 5 nights

Empty Quarter Desert.JPGDay 1:  Pick up from your hotel and travel through the mountain and along the coast to Bama Sinkhole, Tiwi, and walk through the famous Wadi Shab. From there we will continue on to Sur the ancient seafaring town and to Ras al Jinz the Turtle Beach stay over night at the permanent camp.


Day 2:  After breakfast we will travel to Jallan bani bu Ali from there we will drive across the Wahiba Sands along the amazing natural forest of Gaph trees, there will be many opportunities to enjoy the natural beauty of this landscape. Arriving to the fishing village of Qurun and continue along the coast to Ras Al Ruways, Ras Al Ruways is visually stunning as this is where the dunes meet the Arabian Sea. We will set camp on the beach with plenty of time to enjoy the refreshing sea waters.

 

Day 3:  More adventure awaits you today as we head As we travel through Film, Al Khaluf and Ad Duqm, from there we will travel in land to Hayma stopping by the way to visit the Arabian Oryx in Jaaluni and from here we will stay over night at a motel. In Hayma


Day 4:  The next day we will travel through one of the biggest deserts of the world, Ar Rub Al Khali Sahara � Empty Quarter Desert  to Ramlat Az Zawliyah, As Samah, Al Gharbaniyat passing through dramatic landscape and here we set our camp in these huge sand dunes with a fantastic vista of very raw Oman.

 

Day 5:  The following day we will drive through Sayh ar Rawl to the township of Adam which we will drive through on our way to Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman. Were we will visit the traditional souq and explore the old town staying over night at a hotel in Nizwa.

 

Day 6:  after breakfast you will visit the Nizwa Round Fort built in 1660. Then you travel to the beautiful old village of Misfah. The village of Misfah is perched on the side of a mountain where narrow ancient stone pathways lead you into the valley below. You will explore this ancient labyrinth before your return trip to Muscat.

Day 2:  After an enjoyable breakfast, we will start our 5 - 6 hour Jebel Shams mountain hike; this hike has all the ingredients of high adventure. You will walk along the cliff face on a goat trails passages at a height of 2,000 meters.  The walk will led you past an abandoned village perched on the mountainside and to a secluded lagoon balanced on the cliff face. It is one of the most popular treks in Oman.

 

This hike will take you through more than half a billion years of geological time. From this amazing vantage point, you will enjoy incredible views of the mountains and the rugged landscape.  The views from the trail are spectacular and offer unparalleled vistas of Wadi Nakhr.  After this, we will head off with the 4-WD down the mountain to Wadi Ghul and to the bottom of wadi Nakhr to view the canyon in reverse, which is equally as dramatic and stunning. Next, we will stop for coffee and dates with the people of Nakhr village and enjoy viewing the goat hair carpets being woven. From here, we will head off again to the township of Nizwa, the ancient capital of Oman. Spending the night at a hotel in Nizwa.

 

Day 3:  After breakfast we will visit the traditional Nizwa Souq where there will be an opportunity to purchase and see many traditional Omani things.  After this, you will take a tour of the famous Round Fort, one of the finest forts in Oman

 

From here we will continue the tour and travel to Al Hota Cave, which is more than 5km long and traversed by an underground river. The main chamber of Al Hota Cave is the size of a huge ballroom and contains some magnificent cave formations, stalactites, stalagmites, columns and curtains, which have evolved over millions of years.

 

We will continue our trip to the beautiful old village of Misfah. This village is perched on the side of a mountain where narrow ancient stone pathways lead you into the valley below.  After, we will drive back to our hotel in Nizwa. 

 

Day 4:  Leaving in the morning after breakfast, your destination is the Golden Sea Sands of Wahiba Desert. At Wahiba you will experience 4-WDriving on the sand dunes as well as a visit to a Bedouin community where you will have the opportunity to meet with the Bedouin women and purchase their traditional handicrafts.   Experiencing the sunset at the top of the Wahiba dunes is inspiring and at night, you will enjoy the hospitality of a desert camp. We will spend the night in a traditional permanent desert camp where we will enjoy dinner and conversation around the campfire.

  

Day 5:  After breakfast, begins a day of Camel Safari into the desert.  First, you will be briefed about your journey into the desert and important information regarding your camel.  During the first leg of the journey, approximately 2.5 hours, we will trek across the sand dunes and reach a shaded area.  Here we will be met by a 4WD, which will provide us with lunch and a fully stocked cool-box.  While the sun is at its peak, we will relax for a few hours, before starting on the second leg of the journey back towards the permanent camp.

 

With the campsite in view, you have time as you complete you camel trek to reflect on what you have experienced and look upon the desert with far wiser eyes.

After enjoying the luxury of a shower the evening meal will be served. There will be plenty to talk about around the campfire.

11D-1 Muscat to Salalah
Tour Time: 11 days and 10 nights

Wadi Al Shuwayamiah.JPGDay 1: Starting from Muscat toward Dhofar Region travelling south east we drive through the fishing port of Quriyat, the coastal village of Tiwi, Qalhat and the ancient seafaring township of Sur. Our final destination is Ras al Jinz located on the edge of the Arabian Sea. Here we will set camp and you will spend your first night under the stars listening to the sounds of the Arabian Sea. Your camping experience will include a guided walk along the sand where you can see giant green sea turtles laying their eggs under the light of the stars.


Day 2: Your day of discovery will commence as you travel along the magnificent Oman coastline where you will see brilliant white sand beaches. We will pass through Asilah one of the most beautiful spots on the east coast, and then inland to Jaalan Bani bu Ali. From here we will start a sensational drive across the Wahiba Sands and among an amazing natural forest of Gaph Trees, there will be time enough to meet traditional Bedouin families. After enjoying these spectacular views of Wahiba Sand desert we will arrive to the fishing village of Qurun. Commence our journey to Qihayd and Ras Al Ruways this driving is visually stunning as this is where the dunes meet the Arabian Sea. At Ras Al Ruways we will set our camp and enjoying the refreshing sea waters along with the background of Wahiba Sands Dunes.

 

Day 3: After breakfast there will be more adventure awaits you today as we head towards the striking white cliffs of Ras Madrakah. Traveling through Hijj and Film to Ad Duqm where we can buy some food and get some ice for our next camp site. Arriving at the coastal village of Ras Madrakah and view the cliffs jutting out into the Arabian Sea. Ras Madrakah represents the point where the mainland juts furthest into the Arabian Sea. Enjoy the natural contrast of black rocks, white beaches and deep blue seas. This is the picturesque spot where we will set camp for the night.


Day 4: Our coastal drive continues, today we will travel past the magnificent pink lagoons of Al Kahil, then on to Ras Sawqrah, Shalim and the coastal village of Shuwayamiah, from here we will continue our driving to the spectacular Wadi Shuwayamiah with its dramatic vertical cliffs of white limestone. The wadi forms a huge snaking canyon and is considered Oman's largest and probably most spectacular wadi. where we will set camp for the night and enjoy a refreshing swim in the deep permanent pools of sweet water surrounded with trees and vegetations.


Day 5: Today after camping breakfast we will drive through the oilfields of Marmul, then on to Thumrayt. Travelling through the Dhofar Mountains we will arrive at our final destination the magnificent city of Salalah. Your accommodation while in Salalah will be in a comfortable hotel.  Relax on your first day in Salalah and then the next day we will visit the tourist attractions you are most interested in seeing.

 

Day 6 & 7: Salalah offers the visitor an enormous variety of things to see and do. The natural beauty of the surrounding area is breath-taking. You will witness the stunning view of dramatic mountains reaching right to the edge of the Arabian Sea. You will have the opportunity to experience wadis and beaches as well as the springs at Ain Razat and the caves of Tawi Atayr. There are also many historical sites of interest including the ruins of the city of Samhurum which dates back to 100BC.


Day 8: Continuing the tour of the Dhofar region you will be amazed by the coastal plains and steep mountains rising to form its backdrop. These mountains form a large plateau which is dominated by limestone rocks.


Today we will drive to Al Maghsayl where we will see the stunning Blow Holes, then travelling along a magnificent snaking road through the mountains to Jabal Al Qamar "the Moon Mountain". As we continue the journey north we pass Mudayy and travel along the side of Ar Rub Al Khali desert. Tonight we set camp on the.


Day 9: Today we travel to Shisr the lost city of Ubar, called "the Atlantis of the Sands" by Lawrence of Arabia.  Researchers speculate that the city may have been the earliest known shipping center for frankincense.  Then, on to Dawkah, Qatbit, Muqshin, Hayma and Al Gabah where we will stay overnight at a hotel.

Day 10:  After breakfast we commence the last day of your journey.  Most of the journey will be spent travelling through desert landscape.  We will stop in the old township of Adam and then on to Nizwa.  We will arrive in the evening and spend the night at a hotel in Nizwa.

 

Day 11:  After breakfast we will explore Nizwa visiting the traditional Souq where there will be an opportunity to purchase and see many traditional Omani things.  After this you will take a tour of the famous Round Fort - one of the finest forts in Oman built in 1660.  Next, we will walk through the old city of Nizwa discovering the history and seeing one of the oldest Mosques in Oman.  Then, we will enjoy a delicious Omani meal served in the traditional style. 

 

After lunch we will drive through the mountains back to Muscat.  We will deliver you back to your accommodation in Muscat with an experience of a lifetime being your reward for embarking on this adventure filled overland camping expedition.
