Day 1:
Start your adventure tour of Oman.
Leaving Muscat in the morning
we will visit Nakhl - Wadi
Bani Awf (walk and swimming in
the wadi) - travel across the
mountains to the fascinating village
of Bilad Sayt. Then we will
travel on to AL Hamra and
then continue up the mountains to
the peak of Jebel Shams - the
Mountain of the Sun,
which is the highest peak of the
Jebel Al Akhdar mountain range,
soaring 3,000 meters above sea level.
Here we will stay overnight at the
cabins or traditional Omani tents
and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere
of being at the very top of Oman.
Day 2:
After an enjoyable breakfast, we
will start our 5 - 6 hour
Jebel Shams mountain hike; this
hike has all the ingredients of high
adventure. You will walk along the
cliff face on a goat trails passages
at a height of 2,000 meters. The
walk will led you past an abandoned
village perched on the mountainside
and to a secluded lagoon balanced on
the cliff face. It is one of the
most popular treks in Oman.
This hike will take you through more
than half a billion years of
geological time. From this amazing
vantage point, you will enjoy
incredible views of the mountains
and the rugged landscape. The views
from the trail are spectacular and
offer unparalleled vistas of Wadi
Nakhr.
After this, we will head off with
the 4-WD down the mountain to
Wadi Ghul and to the bottom of
wadi Nakhr to view the canyon
in reverse, which is equally as
dramatic and stunning. Next, we will
stop for coffee and dates with the
people of Nakhr village and
enjoy viewing the goat hair carpets
being woven. From here, we will head
off again to the township of
Nizwa, the ancient capital of
Oman.

Nizwa.
Day 3:
After breakfast we will visit the
traditional Nizwa Souq where
there will be an opportunity to
purchase and see many traditional
Omani things. After this, you will
take a tour of the famous Round
Fort, one of the finest forts
in Oman
From here we will continue the tour
and travel
to Al Hota Cave, which is more than 5km long and traversed by an
underground river. The main chamber
of Al Hota
Cave is the size of a huge ballroom
and contains some magnificent cave
formations, stalactites,
stalagmites, columns and curtains,
which have evolved over millions of
years.
We will continue our trip to the
beautiful old village of Misfah.
This village is perched on the side
of a mountain where narrow ancient
stone pathways lead you into the
valley below. After, we will
drive
back to our hotel in Nizwa.
Day 4:
Leaving
in the morning after breakfast,
your destination is the
Golden Sea Sands of
Wahiba Desert.
At
Wahiba you will experience
4-WDriving on the sand dunes as well
as a visit to a Bedouin community
where you will have the opportunity
to meet with the Bedouin women and
purchase their traditional
handicrafts. Experiencing the
sunset at the top of the Wahiba
dunes is inspiring and at night, you
will enjoy the hospitality of a
desert camp. We will spend the night
in a
traditional permanent
desert camp where we will enjoy
dinner and conversation around the
campfire.
Day 5:
After breakfast, begins a day of
Camel Safari into the desert.
First, you will be briefed about
your journey into the desert and
important information regarding your
camel. During the first leg of the
journey, approximately 2.5 hours, we
will trek across the sand dunes and
reach a shaded area. Here we will
be met by a 4WD, which will provide
us with lunch and a fully stocked
cool-box. While the sun is at its
peak, we will relax for a few hours,
before starting on the second leg of
the journey back towards the
permanent camp.
With the campsite in view, you have
time as you complete you camel trek
to reflect on what you have
experienced and look upon the desert
with far wiser eyes.
After enjoying the luxury of a
shower the evening meal will be
served. There will be plenty to talk
about around the campfire.
Day 6:
After breakfast, we travel to the
seafaring town of Sur for a
visit and lunch. From here, we
travel to Ras Al Hadd and to
Turtle Beach where we
will spend the night at the
permanent camp and enjoy the
hospitality of the Omani people.
Ras Al Jinz is one of the few
nesting places of the giant green
sea turtle and at night, you
will have the chance to see these
majestic creatures come ashore and
lay their eggs by the light of the
stars.
Day 7:
After breakfast, we head off again
on to the famous village of Tiwi.
At Tiwi we will visit Wadi Shab
which is considered one of the most
beautiful wadis in Oman. You will
have ample time to hike through this
wadi and enjoy exploring and
swimming. Again, the scenery is
spectacular and certainly, an
experience you will remember
forever. After walking and swimming
in the wadi, we will drive to the
spectacular Bama Sink Hole.
The water is crystal clear and the
setting outstanding. After enjoying
some time there, we will travel to
the township of Quriyat and
then through the mountains back to
Muscat.
