Day 1:
Leaving Muscat in the
morning we will drive through the
magnificent Hajar Mountains via
Fanja and Sumail,
to the township of Nizwa, the
ancient capital of Oman. In Al Hamra
we will visit Bait Al Safa -
a traditional Omani house where you
will see how Omanis used to live.
Next we visit the village of
Misfah, which is an ancient
village perched on the
mountainside. You will walk down
winding paths into the heart of the
village with fantastic views of the
wadi below and the terraced gardens
of lime, banana and date trees.
From here, we continue to Nizwa
where we will stay overnight at a
hotel.
Day 2:
After breakfast we
will visit the traditional Nizwa
Souq where there will be an
opportunity to purchase and see many
traditional Omani things. After
this you will take a tour of the
famous Round Fort - one of
the finest forts in Oman. Next we
will travel to the golden Wahiba Sands
Desert arriving in the afternoon
in time to watch the sunset across
the dunes.
Experiencing the
sunset at the top of the Wahiba
dunes is inspiring and at night you
will enjoy the entertainment and
hospitality of a permanent desert
camp.
We will stay
overnight at the permanent camp.
Day 3:
After breakfast we
will visit a Bedouin family for you
to experience very traditional
hospitality and then travel
to the ancient
seafaring township of Sur.
Sur is where the
traditional wooden Omani Dhows are
made. It also features many fine
old homes with carved doors and
arabesque windows. It offers great
photo opportunities and we will stop
in Sur for lunch before continuing
our journey to Ras Al Hadd
and to Turtle Beach where we
will spend the night at the
permanent camp and enjoy the
hospitality of the Omani people.
Ras Al Jinz is one of the few
nesting places of the giant green
sea turtle and at night you will
have the chance to see these
majestic creatures come ashore and
lay their eggs by the light of the
stars.
Day 4:
After breakfast we
head off again on the coastal road
to Qalhat and then to the
famous village of Tiwi. At
Tiwi we will visit Wadi Shab
which is considered one of the most
beautiful wadis in Oman. You will
have ample time to hike through this
wadi and enjoy exploring and
swimming. Again the scenery is
spectacular and certainly an
experience you will remember
forever. After walking and swimming
in the Wadi we will drive to the
spectacular Bama Sink Hole.
This Sink Hole is the best in Oman.
The water is crystal clear and the
setting outstanding. After enjoying
some time there where you will have
the chance to swim we will travel to
the township of Quriyat and
then through the mountains back to
Muscat.

4D-2 Total Oman Experience

Day 1:
Start your adventure tour of Oman. Leaving in the morning we will visit Nakhl - Wadi
Bani Awf (walk and swimming in
the wadi) - travel across the
mountains to the fascinating
village of
Bilad Sayt.
Then we will travel on to Al Hamra
and then continue up the mountains
to the peak of
Jebel Shams
- the Sun Mountain. Here we will camp overnight at the permanent camp
and enjoy the fantastic atmosphere
of being at the very top of
Oman.
Day 2:
Next morning after an enjoyable breakfast if you feel like an short
hike we will walk along the edge of
Oman's Grand Canyon.
From this amazing vantage point you
will enjoy incredible views of the
mountains and the rugged landscape.
Then we will continue the tour and
travel through
Wadi Ghul
and Al Hamra. In Al
Hamra we will visit Bait Al Safa
- a traditional Omani house where
you will see how Omanis used to
live. Next we visit the
village of
Misfah,

traditional Souq where there
will be an opportunity to purchase
and see many traditional Omani
things. After this you will
take a tour of the famous Round
Fort - one of the finest forts
in
Oman and take a walk around the old
city of Nizwa. Next we will
travel to the golden Wahiba Sands
Desert
arriving in the afternoon in time to
watch the sunset across the dunes.
We will stay overnight at the
permanent camp.
Day 4:
After breakfast
there will be an opportunity to ride a camel, meet with a
nomadic Bedouin family, purchase
souvenirs and be exhilarated by 4
Wheel dune driving.
Next we will travel to Wadi Bani Khalid.
At Wadi Bani Khalid we will take an
easy walk to the brilliant blue rock
pools and there will be time for a
refreshing swim in the wadi before
commencing our journey back to
Muscat. You will have had a
total experience of Oman
incorporating wadis, mountains,
canyons, mountain villages, history,
desert and the people of Oman.

4D-3 North of
Oman
Tour
Time: 4 days and 3 nights

Day 1:
Travel from Muscat to Seeb, traditional souq & fish
market. From here we will
travel through Barka to
Sohar. Sohar was one of
the biggest economic centres of the
Middle Ages. Sohar is as old
as
Oman itself and was the centre of
mining and trade with India and the
Far East. We will check-in to
our hotel on arrival and after a
short break we will visit the
Sohar Fort built in 1294.
This fort was built during the reign
of the Prince of Hormuz. It
has a 10km long escape tunnel that
would have been used during sieges.
There is a fascinating museum which
provides information about the
geology and history of the region.
There will be time to enjoy beach
walking and to see the fish market
in the evening.
Day 2:
Next morning we will drive to Khasab (crossing the Emirates
border) to Daba traveling
through the mountains. The
journey to Khasab will offer amazing
views of rugged landscape and
winding roads. We will be
crossing Ru'us al Jabal "Head
of the Mountain" which plunges
dramatically into the sea.
Khasab is the capital of the
Musandam Peninsula which is the smallest and most northerly region of
Oman. Its rocky headland juts
out into the
Strait of Hormuz,
giving it strategic domination over
one of the busiest shipping lanes in
the world. On arrival we will
check in and take a short break.
Next, we will take a tour of Khasab
through the mountains with
incredible views of the ocean.
The coastline is dramatic with
fingers of fragmented rock reaching
claw-like into the sea, creating
long khawrs (fjords) and inlets.
Day 3:
After breakfast you will have a full day on a dhow cruise in the
Gulf of Oman.
This is a visually stunning
experience as you move through the
amazing passages of water straddled
by brilliant rock formations.
Traveling through the sea is the
best way to experience Musandam.
You will travel through calm, clear
waters which are flanked by high
cliffs that drop dramatically into
the sea. You can enjoy
swimming and snorkeling and a great
chance to see dolphins.
Day 4:
Next morning after breakfast we will depart Khasab with long lasting
memories of brilliant fjords and
barren mountains. On the
return trip to
Muscat we will experience more of
Oman with stops along the way at
points of interest. We will
enjoy lunch in Sohar with time for a
final beach walk before returning to Muscat.
You
have the choice of either returning
to Muscat and experiencing more of Oman on the return journey or being driven to
Dubai.

Oman
Mountains
Tour Time: 4 days and 3 nights

Day 1:
Leaving in the morning we will visit Nakhl - Wadi

From here we will continue the tour
and travel to
Wadi Ghul.
From here you will travel to Al Hota Cave.
Al
Hoota cave is located in Al Hamra
district. It is more than 5km
long traversed by and underground
river. The main chamber of Al
Hota Cave is the size of a huge
ballroom and contains some
magnificent cave formations,
stalactites, stalagmites, columns
and curtains which have evolved over
millions of years. From here we
drive to Misfah village an incredible
mountainside village. Next, on
to Nizwa, where we will spend
the night at a hotel.
Day 3:
After breakfast we will visit the traditional Nizwa
Souq where there will be an
opportunity to purchase and see many
traditional Omani things.
After this we will take a tour of
the famous Round Fort - one
of the finest forts in Oman. Next we will travel
to the town of
Birkat Al Mawz
and to Jebel Akhdar - the
green Mountain.
The
winding drive up the mountains is
spectacular and the views
breath-taking. We will see
villages perched precariously on the
sides of mountains and these offer
fantastic opportunities to explore
winding ancient pathways and view
incredible terraced cultivation.
The villages are connected by an
interwoven range of old passes. We
will spend the night at a hotel in
Al Jabal Al Akhdar.
Day 4:
After breakfast we will visit Wadi Bani Habib, Al
Ain mountain village and Saiq.
There will be time to have a picnic
lunch at Al Hail which is the
highest point of Al Jebel Al Akhdar.
Lunch will be under years old
Juniper Trees in a peaceful setting.
After lunch we will make the return
trip to Muscat. You will take with you a
complete experience of Al Hajar
Mountains and the unique mountain
village life

4D-5 Crossing Wahiba Sands
Desert
Tour
Time: 4 days and 3 nights

Day 1:
Starting in the morning you will travel into the Al Hajar mountains
through Wadi Al Aqq across
the desert plains through the
townships of Ibra and Al
Qabil. Your destination is the
Golden Sea Sands of Wahiba.
In
the afternoon we will watch
the sunset across the dunes. There will be time to get to know the Bedouin life by
meeting local people. Our first
night will be spent in the permanent
desert camp enjoying dinner and
Omani hospitality. The evening
will be filled with conversation
around the campfire.
Day 2:
In the morning begins the journey, which will take you across the
magnificent Wahiba Sands. Travelling
from north to south, you will spend
the next hours in a heightened state
of exhilaration as you experience
rolling sand dunes, varying from
deep red to a rich honey colour,
stretching as far as the eye can
see. The spectacular landscape of
the Wahiba Sands is visually
sensational and the experience of
the crossing offers both excitement
and a great sense of achievement.
At the
end of the day you reach the village
of
Qihayd,
located on the edge of the
Arabian
Sea. A BBQ dinner that night
coupled with the perfect camping
location seems a fitting end to an
incredible day's adventure.
Day 3:
Next day after breakfast we will drive along the coast to the fishing
village of
Qurun.
From there we will drive into the
sands once more to an amazing
natural forest of
Gaph
Trees. We will drive
through this natural desert forest
to Jaalan. We will pass
many Beduoin settlements on our way
to Jaalan. We will continue
the drive to Ras al Jinz where we
will stay overnight in the permanent
camp. Later in the night, you will
take a guided walk along the sand
and see giant sea turtles laying
their eggs under the light of the
moon.
Day 4:
The next day we will travel to Sur, an ancient seafaring town,
and visit the shipyard to watch the
making of the traditional wooden
Omani Dhows.
After
enjoying lunch in Sur we travel to
the ruins of the ancient town of
Qalhat,
one of the oldest towns and seaports
of Oman. Next, we continue along
the coast to the village of
Tiwi
and a walk through the famous
Wadi Shab. Wadi Shab offers cool
refreshing pools and lush greenery
all year round. On the return route
we will pass
through Quriyat,before
arriving back in Muscat.

Camel Safari in Wahiba Desert
Tour Time: 4 days and 3 nights

Day 1:
Starting from
Muscat in the morning we travel
through Bidbit, Ibra and
Al Qabil to Bidiyah.
We will pass through many villages
and view unique scenery. Lunch
will be en route.
We will
arrive in the late afternoon, after
driving into the desert through the
sandy dunes. There will be
time to enjoy some dune bashing and
we will watch the sunset over the
golden sands of Wahiba.
The first night will be spent
sleeping comfortably at a permanent
camp.
There will be an enjoyable evening
meal served at the camp and an
opportunity to meet other visitors
to Oman and speak with the local
people.
Day 2:
In the morning, after breakfast, begins the camel safari into
the desert. You will need to
pack lightly, just the few things
you will need over the next 2 days.
First of all, you will be briefed by
the - Camel Handler "Bedu Guide"
about your journey into the desert
and important information regarding
your camel. Next, you meet
your camel who will carry you across
the sands.
The
first leg of the journey,
approximately 2.5 hours, will take
you to a shaded area with a
water-well. Here we will be
met by a 4WD which will provide us
with lunch and a fully stocked
cool-box. While the sun is at
its peak we will relax for a few
hours. Starting off again we
will trek across the sand dunes
reaching a desert plateau as the sun
is setting. The views across
the rolling dunes are spectacular
and seem to go on forever. You
will start appreciating the vastness
of these sands. Our 4WD has
already arrived to set our camp for
the evening, bringing with it your
personal luggage and all the
supplies needed. We will enjoy
a BBQ dinner and the company of the
Bedu. And you will spend your
first night sleeping under the
brilliant star filled sky.
Day 3:
Next morning after breakfast we continue our journey into the sand.
We cross the desert floor and
continue into the dunes where we
will stop for lunch under the trees.
We will rest once again during the
middle of the day before starting on
the final leg of the journey back
towards the permanent camp.
This
final leg in exhilarating as you
will be facing your steepest dunes
and the most magnificent vista of
the desert so far. When you
reach the final dune you will see
the permanent camp in the distance.
With the campsite in view, your
final destination, you have time as
you trek to reflect on what you have
experienced and look upon the desert
with far wiser eyes.
You
will sleep that night in the cabin
and enjoy the luxury of a shower.
The evening meal will be served at
the camp and there will be plenty to
talk of around the camp fire.
Day 4:
After breakfast it is time to pack your personal things and we
commence our journey back to Muscat.
You will bring with you the very
special experience of exploring Oman
on a camel. You will have a
depth of understanding and
appreciation of the old Omani
lifestyle.
